Installation Instructions for Lighting

Always use a Licensed electrician when installing.
We only sell low voltage AC or DC lighting. If you’re not familiar with low voltage systems, please consult an electrician or installer.
Check all plugs and joins are firmly connected before installation and test to ensure the lighting is working. We test all lighting before shipping, so please call us before hanging if the light is not working.
Do not pull on the power cables or place any sharp or heavy objects on the cables.
Secure or buy all electrical power cables with appropriate clips and / or direct burial rated cable.

Installation Instructions for Hanging Pieces

We recommend that you use a professional handyman or builder to advise and install.
We recommend that you use the top and bottom hanging brackets we supply. Wall mounted pieces will have mounting points 16″ on center (common stud placement) if your installation requires the mounting holes and / or brackets to be offset, please advise us at time of purchase. Please consider the weight of your piece when hanging. Also please consider the conditions of the area, as your artwork may need to be secured for windy conditions.
Flat screens generally have 1″, 2″, or 3″ wall-mounted feet to attach.
Additional mounting options are available upon request.

Each rust product has its own unique character and natural finish. Colour variations are an intentional part of many designs and, being an organic process, cannot be fully controlled. Exposure to the elements and environment will cause colour changes and a continuation of the rusting process. To slow this down, we recommend a small degree of maintenance. This involves a spray-on coat of Penetrol when needed. This can be purchased from any hardware store. Please read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions carefully. Please note that harsh weather conditions may cause running. Because rusting may be an intended feature of a selected design, we expressly disclaim all responsibility for damage that may arise as a result of rust development.

However, in areas where pollutants are more prevalent, especially in coastal or industrial regions, a cleaning program should be carried out on a more frequent basis to keep the entire surface clean of salt and other deposits.

When selecting a sculpture design, such factors as the sculpture material, the placement of the piece and the desirability of weathering or other organic processes should all be carefully considered. More specific instructions will be provided for each unique piece. All sculptures should be secured to the ground or surface.
