Description
Concrete doesn’t have to be brutal, ugly, and mundane.
Loft
Our experience with Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete, or GFRC has prompted us to build some truly amazing pieces, with Loft being another excellent example.
Designed for an inner-city loft apartment, Loft captures a rough board-formed industrial appearance framed steel tube legs. THe design is further enhanced by the cast in cabinet pulls, and the irregular cabinet door shape. Lastly, a 3/16ths thick steel slab creates a durable yet attractive top.
GFRC is an incredibly strong form of concrete frequently used for cast concrete countertops. By looking past that relatively mundane use, MC2 took it to a new level of operable cabinet doors.
