Structural pinecone railing

This series of stylized pinecone railing panels were designed with a purpose.  The entry to this mountain cabin filled with snow as the roof unloaded, making access to the doorway difficult and unsafe.  The owners needed a solution that fit the decor, looked great, and had the strength to hold back many hundreds of pounds of snow and ice.

With the upper design-portion cut from 1/4″ steel, these panels are the single heaviest railing pieces we’ve ever built.  the lower solid portion are cut from steel over 1/8th inch thick. Sized to fit precisely between existing posts, the panels managed to increase, safety, the appearance of a charming mountain cabin, and even the value of the property.  A worthy and effective upgrade.

Some of our screens are commonly available designs that have been converted to be compatible with plasma cutting. Many are somewhat or completely edited to meet specific client needs. In some cases, our screens are completely custom, having been purpose designed for more discerning clients.
